Full Moon's Curse {Open}

Kitty's just finishing up an evening of meeting with some potential investors for the animal rescue when she feels the pull of her family curse. The moon slowly creeps up over the horizon and she lets out a soft "Shit!" All of this newness her aunt has forced on her has thrown off her inner calendar and she'd completely forgotten the full moon is tonight. There's nowhere near enough time to get back to the farm now. The prickles of pain that come from putting off her transformation are already starting up and they'll just get worse.

Letting out a growl of annoyance, she feels her way to an alley and ducks inside, shedding her clothes and thanking whatever gods care to listen that she hadn't worn anything she doesn't mind losing. Taking a deep breath and grimacing, she lets herself fall into the transformation. The pain of her body rearranging is dulled by her magic but its still incredibly uncomfortable and she'd curse her ancestors for getting such a stupid curse put on them if she wasn't so damned respectful. And then, finally, it's done. She's a wolf once more. Getting to her feet, she gives her body a shake and feels her fur settle into place and the cramps in her muscles ease. 

Kitty isn't sure how to handle this. Normally, she'd be in the forest, or at least farmland, when she transformed. The city is crowded and, though she isn't in the heart of it, there's a ways to go before she makes it out of town. It's going to be hell getting out without rousing panic when someone spots her, but she creeps to the edge of the alley nonetheless, sniffing at the air before she slips out and quickly pads down the sidewalk. 

ooc- I just felt like I had to do smth since its the Harvest Moon and a supermoon tonight~ Feel free to bump into Kitty on the street and freak or figure out who she is and help or just mess with her~

".. okay, I'll take that as a yes. Can I get you anything? Food?"

[andwehowl]

That makes her perk up. She hadn't thought about it, but the energy used in her transformation had left her hungry. Her tail swishes back and forth eagerly and she barks softly enough not to draw attention, but enough that her acceptance of the offer is clear.

[techwitch]

"That's clear enough, but that doesn't prove your humanity either." He winks. "Okay, let's see what's open at this time. Coming?"

[andwehowl]

Kitty nods, getting to her feet and padding past him to the mouth of the alley, looking over her shoulder to make sure he's coming.

[techwitch]

"Yeah, yeah, you're quicker."

"Wait." Luke turns left and beckons it to come along. "Pretty sure my father still has his shed. Are you okay with jerky?"

[andwehowl]

Kitty lets out a soft whine, thinking it over. Raw meat would be better, but any food is good right now, and at least she wouldn't be digging in peoples' garbage. Finally, she nods.

[techwitch]

"And of course we can look through his freezer, but I don't think frozen meat is part of your diet."

He starts jogging. "All in a day's work in Siren Cove, right?"

[andwehowl]

Kitty makes a noise of disgust at the idea of eating frozen meat. Unless he defrosts it and cooks it, then it's bound to taste awful. She easily keeps up with his jog, padding along at his side and trying to make herself look more like a wolf-cross than a pure wolf.

[techwitch]

"Yes, I get it. Pretty sure I get it, I don't speak wolf as fluently as I speak snake. And you're not getting my snake, by the way."

He crosses into the older part of town, backs of houses and deserted little gardens. "Almost there, but you probably smell that."

[andwehowl]

Ew. Like she'd want to eat Python in the first place. Snake might be tasty to her as an owl, or a fox, but it isn't at all appetizing in wolf form.

Kitty can smell them approaching his home though. The scent of him, and all his tech, is an easy guide and she doesn't mind darting a bit ahead if just to stretch her legs.

[techwitch]

"If you manage to open those locks in that shape I'm starting a religion based on you!"

Luke runs after her, glad for the exercise.


"Weirdest wolf ever." He gets out his telephone and turns to the app that keeps his parents and their stuff safe. "Don't barge in."

[andwehowl]

Kitty finally stops in front of his house, letting out a huff of amusement and crouching down to stretch out her muscles. She sits then, scratching at an itch while she waits for Luke to catch up.

[techwitch]

"You better come find me and explain things when you're not a wolf. Except if you turn into a dragon on Sundays, I'll be fine with not meeting a dragon."

He unlocks the door and slips in. "Howl if you're going to make a mess, bark if you can keep things in one piece."

[andwehowl]

She lets out a soft bark, fairly sure there's no one else here but not wanting to wake them up, just in case. Peeking around, Kitty follows him in, snuffling at things that smell much more interesting when she isn't human.

[techwitch]

Luke reaches for the top shelf for the newest batch of jerky and wonders how he is going to explain this to his father.

"Here you go. Something to chew on for starters."

[andwehowl]

Kitty snaps it out of his hand gratefully, laying down and holding it between her paws to tear it apart. Its good and she makes a note to buy some off of him once she's human again.

[techwitch]

"Woah, watch the fingers!"

He steps over the wolf and opens a few fridges.

Whistling, he pulls a large piece of meat out. Ribs, probably cow. Definitely not for jerky, but he knows his father likes his ribs from time to time. "Now who's a good little magical wolf?"

[andwehowl]

A low warning growl slips out at the tone. She is not a dog, for goodness sake. But the smell of the ribs is floating through her system and she'll put up with it if she gets to eat those. Snapping back the last of the jerky, she gets to her feet and trots further into the kitchen, following the scent.

[techwitch]

"Hey, don't growl at me."

Luke puts the ribs on the floor. "I know you're hungry and maybe you're really frustrated about being stuck like this, but I'm not going to be made uncomfortable in my own home. And there's too much electricity around us to not let you get hurt. And that's not a threat, we're both on instinct right now."

[andwehowl]

Kitty's on the ribs almost before the hit the floor, tearing into them eagerly. Chomping down a mouthful, she barks softly to show she gets it. And it isn't like she plans on staying the night here anyway. There's nothing more awkward than having to explain to someone why there's a buck naked woman in their house the next morning. She'd know. That's what happened last time she got caught away from the farm on a full moon.

[techwitch]

"Right."

He takes a step back. "Please don't forget to lick the tiles clean, blood makes me pretty queasy."

[andwehowl]

Kitty snorts internally, but barks to let him know she understands. She crunches happily on the bones, blood covering her muzzle and stomach quickly feeling satisfied.

[techwitch]

"Oh lord." Luke turns around and tries not to listen to bones snapping. "Not how I planned my night."

[andwehowl]

Kitty finishes off the meat quickly, a couple licks of her broad tongue on the floor leaving it practically sparkling. Figuring he'd probably rather not see her come back out covered in blood, she takes a minute to sit and lick her paws and muzzle clean before trotting out, following his scent to find him.

[techwitch]

"No, not into the house!", he hisses. "You had enough?"
